As part of our commitment to assist our customers and the produce industry to advance continuous food safety improvements, iFoodDS has pledged a $100,000 contribution to the Center for Produce Safety (CPS). CPS has a produce-centric mission to fund science, find solutions and fuel change to enhance the safety of fresh produce.
“CPS is working to expand its research to answer produce-specific food safety questions and iFoodDS is excited to support their critical work,” says Diane Wetherington, Executive Chair of the iFoodDS Board of Directors. “Since its establishment in 2007, CPS has provided invaluable information to farmers, grower/shippers, processors, retailers and foodservice operations through funding actionable research and studies. This has led to real improvements in produce safety, which has directly and positively impacted public health.”
Supporting CPS is a natural fit for iFoodDS, and complements our mission to provide leading software solutions that improve food safety, traceability and quality throughout the supply chain.
“Many produce safety challenges will be solved through technology and science. As a technology company, we understand the importance of research and development to advance continuous produce safety improvement,” explains Wetherington. “Through its research, CPS can help us all achieve the objective of providing consumers with safe fruits and vegetables.”
